The Growing Nail Polish Collection

Nails are getting bolder and becoming a great way to accessorize. I am loving all the new colors, sparkles, designs, textures and patterns. It seems that every week there is a new color palette for the current and upcoming seasons. With most polishes being under $10, it’s a great way to change up your look. Check out some new shades I’ve recently tried:

Next adventure:

Update! I tried the black and gold and LOVED the outcome. Here is a picture of the 2011 home for the holidays visit. I am wearing Essie Licorice $8 Orly Prisma Gloss in Gold $8 and Essie Good to Go Top Coat $8 The Orly Prisma Gold is very build-able so the fade effect is very easy. Be patient during drying time! Letting each coat dry completely before the next makes for a longer lasting mani.  I’m not sure the brand of red polish my cousin is wearing but its a pealescent red.

Jewelry is custom cut Aquamarine by my father, Stephen Boyd. Custom setting per customer’s wishes. E-mail me for more questions.

OPI Black Shatter Nail Polish

The term “Practice Makes Perfect” came to mind when trying this product for the first time. The second time showed amazing results!

The product instructs you to wear on top of a dry base color which is necessary. It also dries matte so a top coat is another must.

With regular nail polish I usually apply a little slower than the manicure pros. With the Black Shatter a fast, thin application is necessary. Slower application tends to streak and clump.

There are so many combination’s to try I can recommend just one. Go toto see new shatter colors and regular colors.

Complete Manicure

A product I love right now is the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure. It’s 5 products in one!  Base coat, strengthener, growth formula, color and top coat.  The formula glides on smooth and stays put for days. Even after cleaning and doing dishes. I love the soft flat brush and wide handle with a rubber grip. Today I am wearing the shade Plum Luck.

Let each coat dry before applying the next for a longer lasting manicure.
